Spring!

So I've started a new section in my A level art book, I'm going to create 4 drawings (3 will be based on his sculptures- storm, spring and air, the last one created by me). I love these three (pictures below) especially because they are more magical,  I like them more than the (already amazing) realistic sculpture's he has done. I also love how much detail and care has be taken to create these pieces of work. It would take me forever to do a sculpture as good as his. http://philippefaraut.com/
                       Spring                                                                   Storm                                                   Air

So I've already finished the spring drawing. I used a range of medias such as acrylic paint, coloring pencils, card and sticky pads. I have used card for the flower petals covering her head and body. This drawing is the pinkest drawing I've ever done but I love the different tones and colours. I also got to cut out blossom for the background with a laser cutter we have at college. (I love using the machine because it cuts the most detailed things ever for you no matter how small it is). Anyway I used sticky pads as well to raise them off the page.

Elizabeth Taylor- Pen, Paint and colouring pencils

This is part of my art work for college too, like my previous post. I used colouring pencils for the face and body. Then for the hair I used black ink and paint. Still need to finish the detail for her dress and maybe do a background :)

Colouring Pencils

Recently I've been wanting to try a few new thing with my drawing. I've been practicing drawing portraits of others. So only using coloring pencils I've drawn 3 portraits of very famous actresses, one of them who I think was absolutely amazing and I love her movies so much! I know they don't look exactly like them, I tried to draw them from a photo. To anyone views these or reads this, please let me know what you think of them and what I could do to improve... Or an idea of what I could draw next, thank you <3

Fall Out Boy

this is just an update on the poster, sorry for the horrible picture quality. I finally finished this in time for the day we gave out our secret Santa presents. Pretty proud of it because I've never drawn a portrait this big before :)
